As a freelance orchestral trombonist, David has performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras around the UK. Including; the Philharmonia, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, City of London Sinfonia, Opera Holland Park, National Symphony Orchestra, and ballet companies such as English National Ballet, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Rambert, and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
David studied at the world renowned Royal College of Music for his Undergraduate and Master's degree where he achieved a Distinction. His end of course Master's recital was described as containing "the most difficult repertoire of any recital I've encountered." by his professor at the time.
Whilst studying at RCM, David was under the tutelage of Byron Fulcher, Lindsay Shilling, and Amos Miller. During his time there, he was awarded a place on the English National Opera Evolve scheme and the Martin Musical Scholarship Fund.
Since graduating, he has been an associate of the London Philharmonic Orchestra Foyle Future First program, where he received lessons from Mark Templeton and attended rehearsal with the LPO.
